San Diego Has Same LASIK Technology As NASA

July 24th, 2008 Posted in Lasik News

The National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NAS) for the first
Time has approved the use of advanced LASIK to improve
vision of its astronauts. While more than 11 million LASIK
procedures have been performed to date, it was not until LASIK
become a laser procedure that NASA approved it for
use in the astronauts faced the extremes of physical challenges
travel and zero gravity of space.

Today LASIK advanced features of the use of two lasers, instead
one as in earlier forms of the procedure, always higher
security and with patients to 20/20 vision and beyond.

NASA took the decision after reviewing a wide
Military clinical data using Advanced CustomVue LASIK with the
IntraLase Method showed that the combination of wavefront and
femtosecond laser technology provides security and higher
vision.

Dr. Sandy Feldman, a clinical investigator FDA AMO St.
Diego, is available to explain the following:

— Why consumers even more extreme life are nothing
compared to be expelled from a F16 or the G-Forces
Atmospheric blastoff.

— How these considerations affect the military review of
LASIK safety and effectiveness.

— The technology behind Advance CustomVue LASIK with the
IntraLase method.

— How NASA approval validates the safety of LASIK and visual
results.

— Considerations patients should take into account when choosing
LASIK.
